These canine hip and joint chews pull together a lot of good things and then flavor them with bacon for a delicious supplement that can be given as a treat.My dogs are getting up there in age and can really benefit from all the help they can get when it comes to hips and joint relief. The ingredients (glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM) have long been ingredients in human joint supplements; adding turmeric -- which is being hyped for its anti-inflammatory properties -- is a nice added bonus.It's always hard to say whether a supplement (human or animal) is really working. the best you can hope for is that you don't feel worse after taking them. In this case, the dogs do seem to be more comfortable. Are they leaping tall buildings with a single bound? No. But neither are they lying around moping. I didn't do any scientific studies with a control group or anything, but this seems to work. I've been giving it to my older dog (8 year old lab mix) for about a week. This morning, she came bouncing in for breakfast, hopping on and off the couch like a puppy and it occurred to me that I have seen a change in her behavior.In the past, she would put her front feet up on the couch and hop a few times as if she was planning how to get up before joining us.
